A leading drilling services provider in Spain is seeking a Mechanic to assist in the maintenance and operations of drilling equipment. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and should be proactive and hands-on. Responsibilities include mechanical troubleshooting, equipment inspections, and participating in safety compliance. This position invites fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience and requires English fluency.

Role Description

The Mechanic will assist the maintenance and operations teams in ensuring all mechanical systems and drilling equipment are operating safely and efficiently. This role provides hands‑on exposure to mechanical troubleshooting, equipment inspection, and field maintenance activities within a geothermal drilling project.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of drilling and support equipment.

Support troubleshooting of mechanical systems to minimize downtime.

Perform regular checks and record equipment performance data.

Help prepare maintenance logs, reports, and spare parts documentation.

Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards.

Coordinate with the engineering and operations teams for equipment mobilization and setup.

Participate in continuous improvement and preventive maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of work experience.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, or industrial equipment.
  • Hands‑on, proactive, and able to work in workshop and field environments.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow safety procedures.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Must be a permanent resident of the Canary Islands (Tenerife).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Spain.
