Albastar is seeking an MCC Engineer to join the Maintenance Control Center. The role focuses on real-time fleet control, airworthiness assurance, and regulatory compliance within a 24/7 operation.

You will coordinate with OCC, CAMO, logistics, and maintenance providers to keep aircraft available and minimize disruptions. The successful candidate will have an engineering degree or equivalent MCC experience, hold EASA Part-66 (B1/B2) with B737-800, and be proficient with maintenance information

Formación

  • Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
  • EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (B1 and/or B2) with B737-800.
  • Equivalent experience in MCC/ CAMO/ Part-145 environment.
  • Experience in MCC, Technical Operations, CAMO, or Line Maintenance Control.
  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part-CAMO/M and Part-145.
  • Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems (OASES, AMOS, TRAX).
  • Knowledge of MEL/CDL management.
  • Troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Aircraft systems knowledge.
  • Experience managing AOG situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure; strong communication.

Responsabilidades

  • Monitor fleet technical status via TLBs, CLBs, work orders and maintenance reports.
  • Analyze defects and determine troubleshooting actions and corrective measures.
  • Review and manage deferred defects per MEL/CDL procedures and policies.
  • Monitor and control deferred maintenance items to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain defect records and fleet status in maintenance systems.
  • Coordinate and support AOG situations to minimize impact.
  • Liaise with Part-145 maintenance to resolve issues affecting availability.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with OCC for safe dispatch.
  • Supervise maintenance by contractors; on-site during line maintenance as needed.
  • Prepare and issue work orders with Planning and Logistics.
  • Monitor corrective actions implementation by maintenance providers.
  • Prioritize defect rectification per airworthiness requirements.
  • Manage TLB/CLB documentation from the fleet.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized MCC Engineer to join our Maintenance Control Center team.

The MCC Engineer is responsible for the real-time technical control of the fleet, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, operational reliability and regulatory compliance while minimizing operational disruptions. The role acts as the primary coordination point between Operations Control, CAMO, Logistics and Part-145 maintenance providers.

This position operates on a rotating shift pattern, providing support to a 24/7 airline operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the technical status of the fleet through Technical Log Books (TLBs), Cabin Log Books (CLBs) work orders and maintenance reports.
  • Analyze aircraft defects and determine the applicable troubleshooting actions and corrective measures.
  • Review, approve and manage deferred defects in accordance with MEL/CDL procedures and company policies.
  • Monitor and control deferred maintenance items (deferred defects and cabin items), ensuring their timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate defect records and fleet status information within maintenance systems (OASES and related platforms).
  • Coordinate and support AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations and imminent AOG events to minimize operational impact.
  • Liaise with Part-145 maintenance organizations to resolve technical issues affecting fleet availability.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with OCC to ensure safe and efficient aircraft dispatch.
  • Supervise maintenance activities performed by contracted maintenance organizations, including line maintenance, base maintenance inputs, engine changes, modifications and special projects (technical representative during winter season and on-site during line maintenance tasks when needed).
  • Prepare and issue work orders in coordination with Planning and Logistics departments.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions by maintenance providers.
  • Prioritize defect rectification activities according to operational and airworthiness requirements.
  • Manage and process Technical Log Book and Cabin Log Book documentation received from the fleet.
Requirements
  • Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or
  • EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (B1 and/or B2) with B737-800; or
  • Equivalent experience in airline maintenance control, MCC, CAMO or Part-145 environment.
  • Experience in MCC, Technical Operations, CAMO, Line Maintenance Control or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part-CAMO/M and Part-145.
  • Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems (OASES, AMOS, TRAX or similar).
  • Good understanding of:
  • MEL/CDL management.
  • Troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Aircraft systems.
  • Experience managing AOG situations and operational disruptions.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Working Pattern
  • Rotating shifts covering a 24/7 airline operation.
  • Including day shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Availability to support operational disruptions and AOG events when required.
