ROLE SUMMARY

A highly regarded International school in Madrid is seeking to appoint an experienced mathematics educator to take on a key leadership role within the Secondary School from August 2026.

The school offers the UK National Curriculum through to IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme , and enjoys a strong reputation for academic achievement and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership in the planning and delivery of Mathematics across Key Stages 3–5 and the IB Diploma Programme.
• Inspire excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring high standards of attainment and progress.
• Support and develop colleagues through collaboration and professional growth.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and departmental strategy.
• Play an active role in the broader life of the school community.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• A degree in Mathematics (or closely related subject) and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Mathematics to IGCSE and IB (or A-level) level.
• Evidence of leadership experience or strong potential for leadership.
• Familiarity with British and international curricula.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for inspiring students and supporting academic excellence.
