European International School of Barcelona busca un/a profesor/a de Matemáticas y Ciencias para unirse a nuestro equipo de Secundaria. El/la candidato/a ideal deberá demostrar experiencia en educación matemática, habilidades docentes excepcionales e incorporar a estudiantes en un aprendizaje inspirador.

Trabajarás en Sant Cugat del Vallès, a 15 km del centro de Barcelona, en un entorno multicultural con oportunidades de desarrollo profesional y un programa IB valorado.

Formación

• Título en Matemáticas o Educación matemática o campo relacionado.
• Experiencia previa de al menos 2 años en puestos similares.
• Se valora experiencia con IB (International Baccalaureate).
• Excelente capacidad de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.
• Inglés como lengua materna; español y catalán deseables.
• Permiso de trabajo para España.
• Capacidad para usar tecnología en el aula.

Responsabilidades

• Planificar, preparar y impartir lecciones de matemáticas para secundaria (ESO, Bachillerato y/o IB).
• Desarrollar e implementar el currículo conforme a estándares escolares.
• Evaluar el progreso de los estudiantes y dar feedback constructivo.
• Crear un ambiente de aula inclusivo y participativo.
• Colaborar con docentes, familias y administración para apoyar el desarrollo estudiantil.
• Participar en desarrollo profesional y eventos escolares.

European International School of Barcelona is looking for a passionate and dedicated Math and Science Teacher to join our Secondary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students.

We are located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, just 15km from the centre of Barcelona. EISB is surrounded by the 8.465 hectare Collserola Natural Park, on a 14.000m2 plot with 10.503m2 of constructed spaces for classrooms, laboratories, dining rooms, a library, auditorium, a gymnasium, two swimming pools and a fully-equipped kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students in Secondary (ESO, National Baccalaureate & IB).
• Develop and implement curriculum in line with school standards and educational best practices.
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school administration to support student’s development and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Two years of previous experience in similar positions.
• Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• English home language.
• Spanish & Catalan language are desirable.
• A valid work permit to work in Spain.
• Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
