Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Mass Properties Engineer to join the Flight Physics Department. You will define mass status and routes to target, monitor mass throughout vehicle life, and support decision making with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds an Aeronautical Engineering degree with 0–5 years of experience and fluent English; German is a plus. A hybrid working model and strong development prospects are offered with comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Educated to degree level in Aeronautical Engineering.
• Experience of 0–5 years; flight physics or structural design and mass properties experience valuable.
• English advanced; German will be valuable.
• Desire to work in an open and trusting environment.
• Agile with good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently/autonomously and is self-organised.
• Aspirations to discuss aircraft level topics.
• Willingness to adopt a new way of working and empower yourself.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to development of new vehicles, including derivatives, and support in-service vehicles and decommissioning.
• Define mass status, target mass and route to target.
• Monitor and report mass at vehicle life stages via estimations, calculations and weight control.
• Validate mass by weighing.
• Collaborate with technical disciplines to optimise vehicle mass.
• Deliver mass models for loads analyses and perform trade studies and benchmarking.
• Contribute to overall vehicle optimisation and support decision making for Chief Engineering and Program.
