Job summary

Capgemini seeks an AI Architect to own the architecture for large client programmes, spanning AI/ML, Generative AI and agentic AI, from pursuit to production. You will ensure security, scalability, cost-effectiveness and measurable business outcomes across cloud, hybrid infra and MLOps.

You will guide solution shaping, define architecture, delivery approaches and governance, while mentoring junior architects and aligning with Capgemini thought leadership.

As a Managing AI Architect / Principal AI Architect, you will be accountable for the architecture of complex, multi-workstream AI, Generative AI and Agentic AI programmes from pursuit through to production, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective and aligned to measurable business outcomes.Own end-to-end AI architecture across foundation models, RAG and knowledge systems, AI agents and orchestration, data and integration platforms, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, and MLOps/LLMOps capabilities.Lead AI solution shaping for strategic pursuits, defining architecture, delivery approaches, effort estimations, risks, differentiators and commercial assumptions. Advise CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and senior business stakeholders on AI strategy, platform selection and enterprise AI roadmaps across Azure, AWS, GCP and the broader AI ecosystem.Act as Design Authority, establishing reference architectures, governance standards and guardrails covering security, privacy, Responsible AI and regulatory compliance.Lead architecture through delivery, including detailed design, implementation assurance, production readiness, operational transition and remediation of architecture deviations.Drive measurable business outcomes by linking architecture decisions to value realisation while applying FinOps principles to optimise AI platform and model costs.Mentor and develop architects, create reusable assets and reference architectures, and contribute to Capgemini thought leadership and alliance development.Your Skills and ExperienceEssentialexperienced in Solution, Enterprise, Platform or Cloud Architecture.designing and delivering AI/ML, Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions in production environments.Proven experience owning complex enterprise architecture programmes and governing architecture decisions.Strong client-facing consulting experience with executive-level stakeholder engagement.Hands-on experience with at least one hyperscaler AI ecosystem (Azure, AWS or GCP).Demonstrated success in solution shaping, large-scale pursuits and delivery governance.Strong understanding of security, data architecture, integration patterns and Responsible AI principles.DesirableExperience across multiple hyperscaler platforms.Experience delivering solutions within regulated industries.TOGAF and/or hyperscaler architecture certifications.Experience developing reusable assets, accelerators and reference architectures.Recognised thought leadership through publications, patents, speaking engagements or industry events.Knowledge of modern AI frameworks, engineering tooling and enterprise data platforms.Why you should consider CapgeminiGrowing clients’ businesses while building a more sustainable, more inclusive future is a tough ask.
