A payroll and HR solutions company is hiring a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll processing in Spain. This remote role requires expertise in local payroll legislation, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience and will manage payroll operations ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Contractor rate based on experience and country market rates, equivalent to approximately 15–20 hours per month initially. The scope may increase as we expand our managed payroll operations.

We’re hiring a Payroll Manager (Contractor) in Spain to oversee accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Givver’s customers. You’ll be the local expert, ensuring that all payroll operations adhere to national tax, social security, and employment regulations, while helping us deliver a modern, frictionless experience for employers and employees.
You’ll manage payrolls that include both local and expatriate employees, working directly with clients and collaborating with Givver’s internal teams to streamline processes, improve automation, and ensure quality.
Run end-to-end payrolls for Givver’s clients in Spain, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Process and validate payroll data including new starters, leavers, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
Handle payrolls for both local and expatriate employees, coordinating cross‑border taxation and social security when relevant.
Prepare and submit statutory filings and reports to local authorities (e.g. tax offices, social insurance bodies).
Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain complete, audit‑ready documentation.
Support the onboarding of new customers by advising on local setup and compliance requirements.
7+ years of payroll experience in Spain, ideally covering multiple clients or entities.
Flexible, remote freelance role with potential to grow as we scale.
