Job summary

ContourGlobal is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team at our plant. You will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on the plant's mechanical equipment to maximize performance and availability.

You will also curb breakdowns, supervise external contractor tasks, and generate technical reports while contributing to safety procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: higher vocational training.
• Experience: at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Skills: pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial machinery maintenance; knowledge of Office, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
• Travel: This role does not require travel.

Responsibilities

• Act in the event of an emergency as a member of the intervention and/or support team, or substitutes for other emergency positions as defined in the PEI.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment per the maintenance plan.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant mechanical equipment that is faulty or malfunctioning.
• Supervise mechanical tasks contracted to external companies.
• Participate in maintenance work teams to resolve breakdowns.
• Prepare repair and/or technical reports and assist in incident investigations.
• Assist in procedures, shutdown planning, and maintenance plans, proposing improvements.
• Use BFS to create Shortage Notifications, work orders, material requests, etc.
• Support implementation of safety, health, environment, and major accident management systems.

As Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will join our Maintenance team! In this role, you will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and will have the opportunity to be responsible for carrying out maintenance (preventive/predictive) and repair (corrective) work on the Plant's mechanical equipment, following established procedures and/or advice received, ensuring that tasks are executed in a timely manner, with quality and a technically correct method in order to achieve maximum performance and availability of the Plant, assisting the Mechanical Manager in problem solving and also acting in accordance with the role designated in the PEI (Intervention Team) in the event of an emergency being declared. Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

• Act in the event of an emergency as a member of the intervention and/or support team, or act as substitutes for other emergency team appointments, as defined in the PEI.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance work on mechanical equipment, in accordance with the maintenance plan.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant mechanical equipment that is faulty or malfunctioning.
• Supervise mechanical tasks contracted to external companies.
• Participate in maintenance work teams to resolve breakdowns.
• Prepare repair and/or technical reports of various kinds and collaborate in the analysis and investigation of incidents.
• Collaborate in the preparation of procedures, shutdown planning, and maintenance plans, proposing improvements, if applicable.
• Use the Plant Management System (BFS) to create Shortage Notifications, work orders, material requests, etc., also performing tasks specific to their supervisor when their replacement is appointed. Participate in 5 Whys.
• Collaborate in the correct and effective implementation of the integrated safety, health, environment, and major accident management system for the assigned group's location, based on the responsibilities outlined in the applicable procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement.
