Airbus Operations SL in Illescas (Toledo) is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Industrial Maintenance Team. You will help guarantee maximum asset availability, safety, and operational excellence across manufacturing assets for aerospace programs.

The role involves optimizing asset performance, ensuring EN 15628:2014-10 compliance for maintenance personnel, managing maintenance plans and budgets, and driving continuous improvement in our facilities.

Formación

• Experience in industrial asset maintenance and complex manufacturing environments.
• Strong vendor control and asset lifecycle management experience.
• Advanced English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure KPI targets (Technical Availability, MTBF, MTTR) and daily internal customer contact.
• Create and optimize maintenance plans, manage spare parts inventory efficiency.
• Manage maintenance budgets and monitor external service providers and performance.
• Lead end-to-end projects on maintenance, continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Contribute to new asset acquisitions, writing specs and evaluating offers.
• Ensure compliance with EN 15628:2014-10 for maintenance personnel qualifications.

Job Description: An opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Illescas (Toledo). The selected candidate will join the Industrial Maintenance Team, an integral part of our central industrial infrastructure department. The team is dedicated to guaranteeing maximum availability, safety, and operational excellence across all manufacturing assets supporting critical aerospace programs. In this role, you will take part in optimizing asset performance, implementing European compliance standards (EN 15628:2014-10), and driving continuous improvement and sustainability in our industrial facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure industrial KPIs (Technical Availability, MTBF, MTTR) while maintaining daily contact with internal customers.
• Create and optimize maintenance plans and manage spare parts inventory efficiency.
• Manage and optimize maintenance budgets, as well as monitor and control external service suppliers and performance KPIs.
• Manage end-to-end projects related to maintenance, continuous improvement, and sustainability.
• Participate in new asset acquisitions, including creating technical specifications and evaluating technical offers.
• Ensure compliance with European norm EN 15628:2014-10 for maintenance personnel qualification in alignment with Airbus central strategy.

SKILLS

• Education: Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering degree, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Experience in industrial asset maintenance, vendor control, and asset lifecycle management in complex manufacturing environments.
• Technical Knowledge: PLC and CNC programming knowledge.
• Knowledge and practical experience in industrial asset safety.
• Soft Skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, new business areas, and in a collaborative networking mode.
• Languages: Advanced level in English.
• Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in the automotive or aerospace manufacturing sectors will be valued.
