DS Smith in Madrid is seeking a procurement leader to define and implement the commercial procurement strategy for Madrid Mill, coordinating with the Fiber Supply Manager to ensure stable supply and alignment with production needs.

The role involves developing supplier relationships, analyzing markets, negotiating contracts, and driving cost savings across sourcing, logistics, and operations. You will collaborate with Operations, Logistics, and Mill teams to optimize material flows.

Responsabilidades

• Define and implement the commercial procurement strategy for Madrid Mill in coordination with the Fiber Supply Manager.
• Ensure a stable and competitive supply of recovered fiber and raw materials, aligned with the mill’s operational, quality, and volume requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, waste management companies, traders, and key market stakeholders.
• Identify and attract new suppliers and business opportunities in both domestic and export markets.
• Conduct market analysis and monitor industry trends, pricing movements, availability, and competitive landscape.
• Perform data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, operational efficiencies, and supply chain synergies.
• Negotiate purchase prices and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and contractual compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and Mill teams to ensure smooth material flows and alignment between procurement and production needs.
• Manage and follow up on orders, claims, incidents, and supplier-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Support the commercialization and sale of secondary materials such as paper, plastics, and metals when required.
• Ensure accurate reporting, administrative support, and maintenance of procurement-related documentation and KPIs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, logistics, and operational processes.
