Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Project Engineer for its Power & Industrial business in Madrid, with hybrid work arrangements at the Madrid site. The role focuses on executing Steam Generation Solutions, coordinating with discipline specialists and vendors to ensure timely, quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, 4–8 years of relevant experience, and fluency in Spanish and English, with a valid work permit for Spain.

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters in an engineering discipline.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in project engineering or as a discipline engineer in a project environment.
• Excellent command of Spanish and English.
• Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
• Familiar with project contractual and commercial requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proficient with engineering deliverables (Line List, Equipment List, Tie-in List, etc.) and coordinate inputs from other disciplines.
• Prepare project plans and multi-discipline documents (basis of design, subcontract scopes, technical requirements).
• Coordinate inputs and issue engineering deliverables ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Execute assigned project scope within manhour budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate activities with suppliers, clients and other stakeholders; report progress and risks.
• Support design verification and supervise supplier work in design, manufacturing and delivery.
