Neptune North Limited in Madrid is seeking an AI Engineer to own AI-centric products from conception to delivery. You will collaborate across business functions to design ML models that solve real-world problems and translate business needs into AI solutions.

Open to candidates with deep ML knowledge and hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt design, and deployment. A strong programming background and ownership mindset are required for fast-paced growth.

Formación

• Deep understanding of theoretical machine learning fundamentals and practical ML systems.
• Direct experience leveraging LLMs in production with prompt design and retrieval pipelines.
• Familiarity with LLM inference stack concepts such as KV caching and parallel decoding.
• Strong programming, systems design skills, and experience with Python and at least one of C++, Java, or .Net.
• Experience working with SQL databases.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and rapid learning.

What makes a great candidate

• Deep understanding of theoretical machine learning fundamentals as well as practical knowledge of how to build real world ML systems
• Direct experience leveraging LLMs in production, and an in depth understanding of prompt design, agentic workflows, eval harnesses,retrieval pipelines,etc.
• Exposure to LLM inference stack fundamentals such as KV Caching, Speculative Decoding, Parallel Decoding, and test-time compute ideas.
• Excellent programming,technology, and system designskills, including an in-depth understanding of and recent programming experiencewithPython and ideally one of C++, Java, or.Net
• Experience working with SQL databases
• A strong enthusiasm for programming and technology and an appetite to work in a dynamic and integrated team
• An entrepreneurial nature, willing to take ownership and run towards problemsand someone who thrives on innovation
• The ability to own all aspects ofan AIproject from start to finish
• A desire to understand and solve business problems, build domainknowledgeand increase market understanding
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members
• Financial Services experience a bonus, but is not essential
• Bachilleratogrades of 9.0 and above, and at least a7.0in abachelor’sdegreeincomputer science, mathematics, a hard science, or a related field from a top university
