Haitong Bank, S.A. seeks an M&A Senior Analyst / Junior Associate to join the Madrid office. You will support the M&A Team in new business generation and live deal execution, drafting documents, and preparing presentations in English and Spanish.

The role requires 2-4 years in M&A or related fields, strong modelling, and excellent attention to detail. You will work with a multinational team to deliver high-quality analyses under tight deadlines.

Formación

• 2-4 years of related experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Valuation or Transaction Advisory Services.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• High level in modelling skills, accounting and finance knowledge.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Team worker with proactive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Candidate with bilingual proficiency in Chinese will be highly valued.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the execution team in drafting and reviewing marketing and transaction documents (Teasers, IMs, Process Letters, Management Presentations, Financial Models).
• Support senior bankers in client meetings, deal negotiations, valuation, and transaction structuring.
• Develop financial models and perform valuation analyses.
• Prepare high-quality presentation materials for teasers, information memoranda and other transaction-related documents in English and Spanish.
• Conduct research and analyses in support of new business generation.
• Involve in transaction diligence (buy-side/sell-side/carve-out) and transaction closing.

Job Description

The candidate will work on the M&A Team and will be involved in new business generation, as well as live deal execution. The main tasks/responsibilities for this position include:

• Assist the execution team in the draft and review of both marketing and transaction documents that mainly include Teasers, IMs, Process Letters, Management Presentations, Financial Models;
• Exposure by supporting the senior bankers in client meetings, deal negotiations, valuation, transaction structuring;
• Development of financial models and valuation analysis;
• Preparation of high-quality presentation materials for teasers, information memorandum and other transaction-related marketing documents, both in English and Spanish;
• Performing research and various analyses in support of new business generation;
• Transaction diligence (buy-side and sell-side/carve-out), transaction closing.

Profile

• 2-4 years of related experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Valuation or Transaction Advisory Services;
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
• High level in modelling skills, accounting and finance knowledge;
• Solid analytical skills;
• Team worker with positive, flexible and proactive attitude;
• Capacity to work efficiently and independently in a timely manner and used to work with tight deadlines;
• Strong linguistic skills in English and Spanish (both spoken and written);
• Advanced skills in Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Bloomberg / Capital IQ / Orbis / Mergermarket;
• Used to work in highly demanding environments with rich experience in M&A processes dealing with clients and third party advisors, and should have a dynamic mindset, proactivity and high self-motivation;
• Candidates with bilingual proficiency in Chinese will be highly valued
