BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking in Madrid seeks a skilled M&A professional with 3-5 years of experience in corporate finance and valuations. The role focuses on building and reviewing financial models and overseeing deal execution for buy-side and sell-side opportunities.

3-5 years of relevant professional experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, or Valuations & Business Modelling within an investment bank, M&A boutique or leading professional services firm. Candidates should demonstrate strong experience in financial analysis, valuation, and financial modeling.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or another quantitative field. Master’s in Finance or CFA level/charter is a plus.
Strong financial modeling, accounting, corporate finance, and valuation skills, with solid knowledge of methodologies including DCF, trading comparables, and transaction comparables. Ability to analyze financial statements, business plans, and key value drivers and translate them into robust financial and valuation analyses. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with financial and market intelligence platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv, Capital IQ, or Mergermarket is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess complex financial and strategic information and draw clear conclusions. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality of output.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial and strategic analyses clearly and concisely. Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams, external advisers, and counterparties. Demonstrated ability to guide and review the work of junior team members.
Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken, is required.
