We are looking for a Senior Support 5G Engineer with advanced technical knowledge and management skills to join an international team, working alongside Portugal. The selected candidate will work on 5G technology projects and be responsible for maintaining contact with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and implement detailed technical solutions identified by the Project Manager/Technician.
- Provide detailed technical designs for business solutions.
- Act as Lead Consultant, analysing and developing business technology solutions.
- Lead technical evaluations and the delivery of specific technical solutions to customers.
- Provide a team structure that promotes high performance and manage the stages of the team's life cycle.
- Coordinate the implementation of new installations, designs, and migrations of technological solutions in networks, applications, or platforms.
- Offer advanced technical consulting and advice on proposals, solution design, systems management, and solution adjustment and modification.
- Collect and analyse data from appropriate sources to determine customer needs and requirements.
- Respond to requests for technical information from customers.
- Develop technological solutions for customers using various industry products and technologies.
- Participate in the resolution of technical problems across multiple technologies, often developing new methods to apply them in various situations.
- Knowledge of core networks in telecommunications and 5G technology.
- Familiarity with telecommunications standards.
- Knowledge of Diameter and SS7 protocols.
- Ability to perform technical analysis using Wireshark/PCAP traces.
- Problem‑solving skills in Linux.
- Ability to create scripts.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes/Containers.
- Familiarity with the support ticket management lifecycle and technical support work.
- Fluency in French (mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Electrical Field Service Engineer
Job purpose: Responsible for the electrical installation, service, maintenance and programming of GPI machinery in customer facilities, including PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, industrial PCs and other electrical components. The incumbent is a key member of the Technical Service team and partners with our converting and sales teams to meet the needs of the customers.
Key objectives & responsibilities:
- Conduct top‑level troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of electrical, mechanical and controls related problems on machines installed at customer locations, including overhauls and field upgrades as necessary.
- Participate in the development, processing and follow‑up of specifications during machinery quotations, tests, debugging and start‑up, as well as, during the development and field testing of new carton designs.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with customers and act professionally and proactively to resolve equipment, cartons or service‑related issues.
- As the technical expert, partner with sales and converting manufacturing individuals and teams to resolve customer issues, as well as, support new business opportunities and product development projects.
- Apply continuous improvement concepts and techniques to increase equipment productivity. Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Effectively utilize IT systems (in‑house and standard applications).
- Maintain skill base necessary and consistent with machinery technology.
- Provide instructions and training to customers’ staff on safety, operations, maintenance and proper procedures.
- Prepare excellent and timely service reports, modified schematics and PLC programs, operating procedures updates, to support field initiatives and changes.
- Report excellent and timely progress of projects/assignments to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct audits, evaluations and assessment of machine systems/performance results.
- Liaise with other companies/OEM’s working on common projects.
Required qualifications:
- 1 or more years of related experience and/or formal training in electrical programming as well as equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting. Knowledge of packaging or similar equipment is advantageous.
- Technical training with a degree or studies in industrial or electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics and programs, PLC and HMI knowledge/experience in Siemens TIA Portal.
- Must be prepared to travel if required on short notice. Working hours are flexible to meet customer demands. Some shift/out‑of‑hours working will be required as necessary.
- Higher level of English reading, writing and speaking skills.
- Effective communicator, both orally and written, with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated excellent reporting skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
Lead Field Service Technician
Job description: We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with a strong background in diesel engines, particularly within the maritime sector. You will work independently, traveling to client sites across the Netherlands to carry out maintenance, overhauls, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Caterpillar industrial diesel engines.
You will be responsible for performing major mechanical maintenance, complex engine overhauls, and independently planning and reporting functional tests. You will handle fault diagnostics, maintain direct communication with clients, and complete administrative follow‑ups. Although much of the work is performed solo on‑site, you will be part of a service team supported by a central Service Coordinator.
Candidate profile – requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a service technician in the industrial or maritime sector.
- Hands‑on experience with diesel engines, pumps, turbochargers, and drive systems.
- Previous work on or with large ships, inland vessels, luxury yachts, or offshore installations.
- Proven experience in major maintenance and overhauls of diesel engines, preferably Caterpillar.
- Capable of independently dismantling and replacing drive shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, gearboxes.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving faults in engines, generators, and mechanical auxiliary systems.
- Competent in preparing, performing, and documenting functional tests and test runs.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, exhaust aftertreatment, and modern engine management systems.
- (Experience with Tier 4/Euro 6 is a plus).
- Independent, communicative, and professional in client interactions.
- Willing to travel throughout the Netherlands.
- Able to read and understand technical English.
