Job summary

OMODA & JAECOO Motors, part of the Chery Group, is expanding its European presence from Barcelona. This on-site role leads the logistics IT landscape across Europe, shaping the digital transformation of WMS, TMS, and port systems and ensuring GDPR compliance and data governance.

You will coordinate with international teams, drive the IT roadmap, and oversee system reliability, incident management, and change control to support scalable logistics operations across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years IT experience within logistics, supply chain, automotive, or related environments.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience managing logistics IT systems such as WMS, TMS, Customs systems, and port community systems.
• Strong understanding of European logistics IT ecosystems (SAP MM/WM, TMS, WMS, OMS, BMS).
• Knowledge of GDPR and data residency requirements.
• Fluent in English and able to operate across international markets.

• Lead the European Logistics IT roadmap and align with global digital strategy.
• Oversee WMS, TMS, Customs systems, and port-focused platforms across multiple European markets.
• Coordinate with international teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver scalable IT solutions.

• Lead incident, problem, change, and release management activities, together with disaster recovery and capacity planning.
• Act as the key interface between logistics business users and IT teams, collecting operational requirements and translating them into effective system solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to improve user experience, service quality, and overall logistics IT performance.
• Support the development and deployment of advanced digital capabilities, including AI-enabled solutions, digital integration, and next-generation logistics architecture.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, data residency, and cross-border data governance requirements across European logistics systems.
• Manage and coordinate internal teams, external technology partners, and contractors involved in logistics IT operations and projects.
• Support logistics system architecture decisions within the global IT framework and ensure alignment between regional and global standards.
• Lead major incident escalation when required and support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of IT experience within logistics, supply chain, automotive, or related industrial environments.
• At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing logistics IT systems such as WMS, TMS, Customs systems, and port community systems.
• Strong understanding of European logistics IT ecosystems, including SAP MM/WM, TMS, WMS, OMS, BMS, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IT operations management, including incident management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and system reliability.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and deployment within European environments.
• Knowledge of GDPR, data residency requirements, and European data protection regulations.
• Strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to translate global business strategy into a practical regional logistics IT roadmap.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with senior business leaders, operations teams, IT teams, and external partners.
• Experience working across multiple markets and multicultural environments.
• Strong cross-functional coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building and managing high-performing teams across international environments.
• Fluent in English.
