Job summary

OMODA Motors Spain S.L.U. is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Finance Department in Alcobendas, near Madrid. The role supports core accounting tasks, including invoicing, AP, reconciliations, and monthly closures, with exposure to fixed assets and audits.

Ideal candidates hold a finance-related degree, have 2–5 years of experience, and show strong attention to detail. Proactive and team-oriented, you will contribute to process improvements within a growing automotive group.

Qualifications

• Degree or vocational qualification in Finance and Administration, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance or administrative positions with financial responsibilities.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles.
• Invoicing, supplier management and bank reconciliations experience is valued.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency is required.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP is highly valued.
• Intermediate English level.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.

• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Review balances and support reconciliations.
• Monitor Accounts Payable balances and resolve supplier issues.

Mission

The Junior Accountant will join the Finance Department of OMODA Motors Spain, S.L.U., providing support across key accounting and administrative activities.

The role is designed for a professional at an early stage of their career who has a solid accounting foundation, strong attention to detail and a willingness to continue developing within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and review invoices, expenses and accounting documentation.
• Manage and monitor supplier invoices and Accounts Payable activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate potential discrepancies.
• Support general accounting activities and ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records.
• Record and monitor tangible and intangible fixed assets.
• Support the calculation and control of depreciation and amortization.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare accounting information and supporting documentation for closing activities and audits.
• Review accounting balances and support account reconciliations.
• Monitor Accounts Payable balances and support the resolution of supplier-related issues.
• Prepare reports, documentation and accounting information for the Finance Department.
• Collaborate in the improvement and automation of administrative and accounting processes.
• Provide support in other accounting and finance-related activities as required.

Requirements

• Degree or vocational qualification in Finance and Administration, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Between 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance or administrative positions with financial responsibilities.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles.
• Previous exposure to invoicing, supplier management and bank reconciliations will be highly valued.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with an ERP system, particularly SAP, will be highly valued.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude, sense of responsibility and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
