Dow Jones is seeking a Lists Analyst for Lists Assurance in Barcelona to validate and update sanctions data across multiple official lists. You will join a global team ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery, working 1pm-9pm local time while collaborating with editors and automation specialists.

  • 5+ years of experience with sanctions data from EU/US/UK/UN bodies.
  • Strategic thinking to address data quality issues.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform quality checks within deadlines and defined processes.
  • Proof data from Special Lists research both manually and automatically.
  • Ensure data consistency and timeliness across Special Lists content.
  • Follow pre- and post-production quality controls.
  • Log issues, analyze data, and share feedback.
  • Collaborate with editors and automation teams to improve data quality.
  • Develop and unit-test automation tasks/projects.
  • Implement automation to expand scope and efficiency.
  • Contribute to QA process refinement and timeliness.
  • Handle time-sensitive data requests from stakeholders.
  • Support sanctions updates as conditions warrant.

Job Description

Dow Jones Risk & Compliance is a global provider of third-party risk management and regulatory compliance solutions. We deliver data, research tools and services to help our clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption and economic sanctions regulations and mitigate third-party risk.

You will join a global team of quality analysts who support a multilingual research team in researching, recording and updating details on individuals and entities mentioned in Sanctions & Other Official Lists (Special Lists) issued by government bodies and regulators around the world, for example, the Office of Foreign Assets Control in the US, national law enforcement bodies or securities regulators. You will report to the Manager, Lists Assurance. You will be based in Barcelona. Your working hours will be 1pm - 9pm (Monday-Friday).

You Will
  • Conduct quality checks within set deadlines and according to existing processes
  • Manually and automatically proof the details of the Special Lists data produced by the Special Lists research team
  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, completeness and timeliness across Special Lists content
  • Adhere to robust pre- and post-production quality processes
  • Log issues, analyze the data gathered, take remedial action and share feedback
  • Collaborate with Special Lists editors and automation team to improve processes and data quality across all content.
  • Work on the development of existing and new automation tasks/projects
  • Work with manager and colleagues to implement automation, expand existing scope and generate team efficiencies
  • Proactively contribute to the development and refinement of the quality-assurance processes
  • Work on time-sensitive requests from internal and external stakeholders pertaining to data quality
  • Support the Research team conducting critical sanctions updates as conditions warrant
You Have
  • At least 5 years experience of working with sanctions data provided by the EU, USA, UK, UN and other bodies
  • Innovative and strategic way of thinking to address complex data quality issues
  • Attention to detail, quality focus, proactive approach
  • The ability to handle large and complex data sets in various formats, working to tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills needed as must be able to work efficiently and effectively in team environment
  • The ability to adapt readily to changing customer expectations
  • Experience working within a global team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and at least one other language
Preferred
  • Management experience that has provided a strategic perspective
  • Working knowledge of advanced Python / SQL / Google Apps Script / MS Excel to analyze data
  • Experience in process or data automation/coding
  • Education to degree level
