LOEWE, a Spanish luxury house renowned for craft and leather expertise, seeks a Leather Development & Sourcing Manager to bridge design with production excellence. You will drive end-to-end development, ensuring premium finishes, color depth, and consistency across bulk production while embedding sustainable practices.

The role requires deep leather know-how, strong cross-functional influence, and the ability to translate briefs into precise technical specifications for handbags.

Formación

• 15+ years of leather development, research, and tanning in a luxury environment.
• Deep knowledge of tanning, finishing, grading, and leather behavior in handbag construction.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional influence to translate briefs into technical specs.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; Italian and/or French a plus.

Are you an expert in luxury leather craftsmanship with a passion for driving innovation and speed-to-market? We are looking for a Leather Development & Sourcing Manager to join our Development team.

In this pivotal role, you will bridge creative vision and technical execution, translating design briefs into proprietary brand signatures while maintaining the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and efficiency.

Job responsibilities

• Drive Rapid Development & Innovation: Spearhead end-to-end development cycles from the initial design brief to industrialization, successfully optimizing innovation lead times while maintaining strict adherence to the collection milestone calendar without quality degradation.
• Translate Creative Vision into Brand Signatures: Direct exclusive touch, finishes, color depth, and natural aging characteristics, ensuring high first-time-right color and handfeel approval rates and consistent Maison signature finishes across bulk production.
• Quality Assurance & Technical Validation: Balance acceleration in time-to-market with rigorous technical validation, comprehensive testing, quality assurance, and root-cause analysis for leather behavior in handbag construction.
• Supplier Management & ESG Integration: Lead supplier management, negotiation, and cross-functional decision-making while embedding robust ESG practices, full traceability, and regulatory compliance into daily operations.

Profile

• 15+ years of proven experience in leather development, research, and tanning within a fast-paced luxury environment.
• Deep knowledge of tanning, finishing, grading, and leather behavior in handbag construction. A strong eye for luxury aesthetics, handfeel, grain, and color nuance.
• Exceptional communication, high cross-functional influence, and the ability to seamlessly translate creative briefs into precise technical specifications.
• Fluency in English and Spanish are a must; knowledge of Italian and/or French is a strong advantage.
