An international real estate group in Madrid is seeking a Leasing Lawyer for a temporary position. This role focuses on drafting and negotiating leasing agreements while advising internal teams on legal matters. Ideal candidates will have a legal degree, some experience in real estate, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. What will your day look like?

Acting as a true Business Partner, your missions will include:

• Drafting and negotiating, in connection with the leasing and asset management departments, all types of documents by which a space is rented or made available to a third party for other than residential use, and all subsequent documents (i.e., lease promise, lease, occupancy agreement, amendments, protocol, etc.);
• Advising internal clients within the URW teams on the legal aspects related to the leasing agreements and commercial operations at stake, as well as on the legal impacts of projected operations, being proactive in proposing appropriate legal solutions;
• Participating in cross-functional projects related to the Group's objectives;
• Managing, in close collaboration with lawyers, all leasing disputes in the portfolio (including renewals, collections, insolvency proceedings, etc.), including determining the strategy based on prior risk analysis;
• Participating in the development and regular updating of document templates used in negotiations;
• Monitoring legal, regulatory, and case law developments related to leasing issues and shopping centers;
• Assisting and collaborating in legal issues that the Senior Legal Manager may delegate.

What we are looking for

The Must Haves:

• With a Legal Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from a top-tier University and Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession.
• 0-2 years’ experience in real estate practice in a top company or top law firm. Preparation of competitive exams for Public Administration (Notary, Registry, Prosecutor, Judge...) highly valued.
• Excellent technical skills, and strong summarizing and analytical skills. Attention to detail is a must and genuine interest on learning the business and the internal procedures as well as on accomplishing the tasks in the way requested.
• Dynamic, positive, recognized for your team spirit, and your organizational qualities in a high demanding day-to-day.
• Your negotiation skills, interpersonal ease, and autonomy will be important assets to success in this position and within the Group.
• Spanish and high level English is a must.
