Zusammenfassung

The Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE) in Barcelona invites expressions of interest for the Ramón y Cajal (RyC) Programme in gravitational-wave physics. RyC fellows lead their own research programmes and receive strategic funding plus a salary supplement, with a potential permanent position upon successful completion.

Fellows are expected to contribute to operation and upgrades of LIGO/Virgo detectors and to the ET roadmap, while securing ERC and other competitive funding.

Qualifikationen

• Postdoctoral researcher with a proven track record in gravitational-wave science.
• Experience leading research programs and securing funding (ERC).
• Ability to define and execute research strategies in GW physics.

Aufgaben

• Lead own research program and define an experimental GW agenda.
• Contribute to operation and upgrade of the LIGO/Virgo detectors.
• Shape the R&D roadmap for next-generation GW detectors (ET).
• Coordinate activities within the Virgo Collaboration and related groups.
