Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics (Applied Math, Engineering), Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science or equivalent.
• Excellent programming skills including macro language.
• Proficient knowledge of the clinical development process.
• Thorough knowledge of industry standards.
• Ability to apply programming knowledge to problem solving.
• Ability to manage relevant documentation.
• Ability to influence stakeholders on Programming related items.

Responsibilities

• Lead the programming deliveries of a clinical study or a small to medium sized and complex clinical project.
• Implement programming aspects of the protocol or clinical development program.
• Ensure high quality is built into deliverables and by other programmers.
• Program independently with high efficiency and quality.
• Write specifications and oversee documentation completeness.
• Contribute to development of best practices to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness within function.
• Ensure compliance to standards and automation usage.
• Plan and lead team activities and tasks.
• Identify, manage and communicate risk within assigned studies and/or projects.
• Work with study team members including statisticians, lead programmer, data manager, and study leader.
• Work with contract programming providers.
• Influence stakeholders by providing subject matter expertise on programming related items.
• Contribute to or lead technical initiatives.
• Employ project management practices in managing programming aspects of drug or technical projects.
