Job summary

IFF is seeking a Senior Scientist I to lead fragrance delivery programs within the Delivery Systems R&D group. You will design experiments, interpret complex data, and drive scalable solutions from concept to manufacturability, mentoring junior staff along the way.

You will collaborate with Process R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to advance technology, enabling growth and competitive differentiation in global markets.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field or MSc with substantial R&D experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams and translate science into business value.
• Experience coordinating projects and solving complex technical problems in multilingual, global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead fragrance delivery R&D programs focusing on encapsulation, controlled release, and related technologies.
• Design, execute and interpret experiments; communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to external technology scouting and IP support.
• Support scale‑up, manufacturing readiness, and commercialization with cross-functional partners.
