Croda is seeking a Lead Research Technician to join the R&D Industrial Specialties team at the Mevisa site in Fogars de la Selva. You will plan and execute experiments on formulation chemistry, emulsions, and functional materials, analyze results, and drive project next steps.

You will collaborate with technical teams, manufacturing, sales, and international colleagues to support development, industrialisation, and application of new products while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory environment, either academic or industrial.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or experiments simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to document data, prepare reports, and draw conclusions.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute experiments to develop and improve product formulations.
• Analyse and interpret results, propose new experiments or plan modifications.
• Maintain rigorous technical documentation and prepare clear reports.
• Carry out application testing for customer tech support and R&D projects.
• Support industrialisation and transfer of processes from lab to manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing on processes and analytic methods.
• Respond to technical inquiries from sales teams and customers.
• Participate in technical meetings, customer visits, trade shows and seminars.
• Apply data analysis to identify trends and support decision-making.
• Contribute ideas to improve product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support laboratory organisation and safety standards.
