Job summary

Way&Sat Executive Search is seeking a Lead Project Manager – Hotel & Amenities for a major luxury resort on the Costa del Sol, Spain. You will lead the hotel and amenities programme from design through construction, opening and handover, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and aligning design with brand standards.

The role demands a master’s degree and 15+ years in real estate development or construction PM, with fluent English and readiness to relocate or stay on the Costa del Sol.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least 15 years of experience in real estate development or construction project management, including several years in a lead role.
• Experience leading a large development through its full cycle, from design to delivery.
• Experience on the developer’s or owner’s side.
• Strong leadership, commercial judgement and negotiation skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with the Spanish market and its permitting processes.
• Fluent English and willingness to be based on the Costa del Sol or relocate.
• Experience delivering international luxury hotels or resorts is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to construction documents, coordinating architects, engineers and interior designers.
• Incorporate the hotel operator’s brand standards and technical requirements into the design, and manage its review and approval process.
• Optimise the design for guest experience, hotel operations, buildability and quality of materials.
• Own the programme from design freeze and permitting through tendering, construction and opening, keeping the critical path on track.
• Manage the construction budget, cost plan, cash-flow forecast and change-control process.
• Lead tendering, evaluate proposals and negotiate with contractors.
• Oversee construction and finishing quality throughout delivery.
• Coordinate commissioning, acceptance, statutory completion, pre-opening and technical handover to the operating team.
• Build and lead a small project management team, working closely with the other lead project managers across the development.

At Way&Sat Executive Search, we are looking for a Lead Project Manager – Hotel & Amenities for our client, who is developing a major luxury resort on the Costa del Sol (Spain).

Reporting to the Managing Director Development, you will lead the hotel and amenities programme from design through construction, opening and handover. You will take ownership of design, schedule, budget, quality and turnover, bringing together the teams and decisions needed to deliver an exceptional hospitality asset.
