Jobtailor is seeking a senior electrical engineer to act as the main technical focal point for converter suppliers and to lead engineering activities related to power converter development and integration for Nordex wind turbine generators.

You will define converter concepts and architectures, develop subassembly designs, and coordinate validation plans, with strong emphasis on documentation, supplier collaboration, and wind turbine certification support.

Formación

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• For foreign qualifications, recognition as the corresponding Spanish degree equivalency is required when applying.
• 3+ years of experience in the wind turbine sector.
• Fluent English at C1 level or above.
• Experience with Matlab is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the main technical focal point for converter suppliers.
• Lead and coordinate engineering activities related to power converter development and integration.
• Define converter concepts, architectures, and detailed technical specifications for Nordex wind turbine generators.
• Develop converter subassembly designs, specifications, and validation plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers on component qualification and testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, instructions, and certification support documentation.
• Support and oversee inspections, testing, and validation at supplier facilities and test benches.
• Provide technical support for sourcing and certification activities.
• Identify and validate alternative converter components.
• Support wind turbine certification processes.
• Perform and enhance hardware design simulations using Matlab-based environments.
