Amazon AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Design Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to lead design projects for data centers, remediate issues, and upgrade infrastructure. You will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation and mentor junior engineers.

You will interact with multiple teams across regions, manage engineering projects, and travel up to 25% to support field activities. A strong background in data center engineering and construction drawings is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
• Ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

Responsabilités

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region
• Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, EHS team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple regions, as a technical SME for your discipline
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover
• Build trust and relationships with Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design teams
