Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Design Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to lead design projects in data centers, remediate issues, upgrade infrastructure and add services. You will act as the go-to engineering resource from design through implementation.

The role requires coordinating with data center teams, reviewing submittals, and supporting construction, commissioning and turnover. Travel up to 25% is possible, and you will mentor junior engineers while delivering reliable, scalable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

Review design and equipment submittals for Data Centers in your region.
Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
Work on concurrent projects in multiple regions and act as a technical SME for your discipline.
Support construction, commissioning, operations and turnover. Detail and data oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes.
Have experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants. Build trust with Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design teams.
