Job summary

Magnera Corporation is seeking an Automation & Process Controls Engineer to lead OT/IT convergence across EMEIA manufacturing sites in Spain. You will guide PLC/SCADA/HMI, IPC networks, and digital manufacturing initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will deploy Ignition-based dashboards, support data integration with SAP and analytics tools, and drive continuous improvement through advanced controls and cybersecurity best practices. Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation engineering or related field.
5+ years in industrial automation, process control, or related engineering.
Experience across multi-site manufacturing environments preferred.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish or other languages a plus.
Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI and OT network standards.

Responsibilities

Lead OT/IT convergence and automation across EMEIA manufacturing sites.
Support PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and industrial communications.
Troubleshoot complex control systems and optimize processes.
Standardize architectures and lead automation projects from design to commissioning.
Deploy Ignition platforms, dashboards, and real-time data visualization.
Support cybersecurity, data integration, and governance efforts.
