Hitachi Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own the Control & Protection engineering scope for HV substations across Europe. You will design, review and document protection systems, ensuring performance and safety are met.

Key responsibilities include leading calculations, coordinating with project teams, and providing technical recommendations while traveling occasionally for site activities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Proven experience in Control & Protection engineering for high‑voltage substations.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD for design and drafting.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards.
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative and solutions‑driven mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver and coordinate all Control & Protection engineering scope for HV substations.
• Create and review diagrams, schematics, panel designs, and cabling documentation.
• Ensure integrity, completeness, and correct functionality of substation systems.
• Lead design, calculations, and documentation from base design to project close‑out.
• Provide technical recommendations and identify risks and improvements.
• Support project teams with scope changes, including cost, time, and risk assessments.
• Resolve complex technical issues remotely and on-site (international travel occasionally).
• Collaborate cross-functionally and provide support during testing, installation, and commissioning.
