Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking an HPC Engineer for Earth Sciences applications to profile and optimize high-resolution climate models and related codes on European-class HPC platforms. The role leads the CPU Profiling & Optimization Unit and requires strong C/C++/Fortran skills, Linux, MPI/OpenMP, and collaboration with internal groups and external partners.

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline.
• Master's degree will be valued.

Responsabilidades

• Profile and implement computational optimizations for Earth Sciences apps on very high-resolution HPC systems.
• Lead the CPU Profiling & Optimization Unit with supervision and direction across projects.
• Develop and maintain department tools used by multiple sub-groups in Earth Sciences.
• Collaborate with the Climate Variability and Change group and with external partners and vendors.
