Cognizant is seeking a Senior / Lead GenAI Engineer to architect, build and scale production-grade GenAI solutions for a leading banking sector client. You will own end-to-end GenAI initiatives, from architecture to secure deployment, while mentoring engineers and aligning with risk and compliance expectations.

The role emphasizes strong Python expertise, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and deep understanding of LLM concepts.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade GenAI/LLM solutions.
• Expert-level Python with modern GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of LLM concepts: RAG, embeddings, prompts, evaluation.
• Experience integrating LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI).
• Experience with vector stores (Pinecone, OpenSearch, FAISS, Weaviate) and embeddings optimization.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP) for deploying AI workloads.
• Strong data security and regulatory awareness for banking/finance.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams.
• Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Platform and MLOps: deploy, operate and monitor GenAI apps with secure, scalable infra.
• Leadership and stakeholder management: mentor engineers and translate banking requirements into robust tech.
