A technology-driven infrastructure company is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to ensure optimal performance of their equipment in Madrid or Barcelona. The ideal candidate has experience in HVAC, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and possesses strong mechanical systems knowledge. This full-time position includes managing maintenance schedules and providing technical support along with a comprehensive training program.

Formación

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems.
  • F-Gas Category I Certification required.
  • Knowledge of hydronic systems and HVAC troubleshooting.

Lead Field Service Technician – Thermal Works LLC

Thermal Works LLC is seeking an experienced technician to join our team in Madrid or Barcelona, Spain. The Lead Field Service Technician will focus on startup/commissioning and ongoing service of all Thermal Works equipment, working directly with our team and local contractors to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works’ U.S. headquarters.
  • Manage preventive maintenance and service schedules.
  • Perform on‑site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
  • Perform all preventive maintenance and service needs for clients.
  • Be available for emergency issues while on call.
  • Monitor service software to ensure services are met on a timely schedule.
  • Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
Qualifications
  • Technical or Vocational Degree/Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems.
  • F‑Gas Category I Certification (per EC Regulation No. ********).
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical systems for mission‑critical infrastructure (data centers, healthcare, industrial facilities).
  • Experience with chillers and CRAH units, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with EU safety standards, PED, and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.
  • Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Knowledge of hydronic systems and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of refrigeration theory and applied sciences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑service focus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Ability to read drawings at a basic level and lift up to 50 lbs.
