Job summary

Schneider Electric in Madrid is seeking a Lead, Cloud Operations to manage and advance our AWS and EKS cloud services. You will own IaC pipelines, support cross‑team projects, and drive automation and security across the cloud stack.

You bring 8+ years in DevOps, strong Terraform, Python, Kubernetes experience, and a passion for scalable infrastructure. We offer a hybrid work model, flexible hours, and wellbeing programs to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in AWS Services Windows/Linux administrator.
• 8 years DevOps experience with Terraform, Python, bash, etc.
• EKS and Kubernetes experience.
• Administrator of IT infrastructure: OS Windows/Linux.
• Management of AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, LB, SSM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc.
• Automation: Powershell scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform, bash.
• DevOps: Github, GitHub actions.
• Basic Networking knowledge: VPC, SG, FW rules, routing, etc.
• ITIL processes knowledge.
• AWS SysOps Administrator; DevOps certification.
• EKS, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Understand our cloud infrastructure and relationship with other IT layers.
• Ensure high level of security of our IT systems.
• Support Business for cloud infrastructure projects and demands.
• Maintain, operate and manage the IT infrastructures in the cloud.
• Manage IaC pipelines for Cloud services creation and standardization.
• Support and upgrade EKS clusters.
• Improve our cloud operations with automation, simplification and continual improvement proposals.
• Collaborate with application, SecOps, connectivity and other teams to ensure high quality infra cloud services.
• Daily service follow-up, ensuring operations are performed with high quality level.
• Resolve incidents in our scope and collaborate in resolution with other teams.
• Accountable for critical incidents P1/P2 management.
• Reduce number of incidents and their duration in cloud.
• Deliver users demands and service requests.
• Understand critical applications and key technical components.
• Improve time to market for new requests, changes and evolutions.
• Use and promote our standards.
• Act actively to improve security day to day.
• Manage Obsolescence remediation: keep cloud infrastructure up-to-date.
• Propose improvements to our tools, processes and procedures.
• Develop automatized scripts to gain efficiency in day to day activities.
• Standardize services migrating them to IaC and EKS.
• Manage critical platforms and tools for Cloud operations.
