Hitachi Energy in Madrid is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to serve as the technical authority for civil engineering activities in High and Medium Voltage Substation projects across Europe. You will drive safe, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions from design through construction, coordinating international teams and stakeholders.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering and/or site construction for HV/MV substations.
• Strong expertise in substation civil design, engineering, and construction execution.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and external partners.
• Knowledge of BIM methodology.
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate all civil engineering activities for substation and power quality projects.
• Ensure quality, completeness, and functionality of the civil scope throughout project execution.
• Deliver civil designs, calculations, and technical documentation from basic engineering to as-built stages.
• Provide technical guidance during engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Assist project managers in assessing scope changes, risks, costs, and schedules.
• Prepare civil work plans, resource estimates, and risk assessments.
• Support site activities through planning, supervision, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Coach engineers and project teams while building strong customer relationships.
