Clarivate Analytics in Barcelona is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – AI Product Development (Data) to join the AI Engineering team. You will build reliable Python backend services, APIs, and ETL pipelines in Azure/AWS, and contribute to LLM‑based applications.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate in agile cross‑functional teams with Product, Cloud Ops, Architecture, SMEs, and other stakeholders to shape architecture and deliver scalable AI platforms.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with 4+ years backend Python development.
• Experience in data engineering practices and large-scale datasets.
• 5+ years in cross-functional, Agile teams with Product, Cloud Ops, Architecture, SMEs.
• 3+ years with LLMs or agentic AI applications and reliability challenges.
• Experience contributing to software architecture for complex systems.
• Experience with AI/ML workflows like RAG, vector databases, or evaluation techniques.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and cloud deployments.

Responsabilidades

• Scope and shape AI platform initiatives for LS&H products from concept to implementation.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Azure or AWS.
• Translate requirements into high‑quality code and proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Solution Architecture, Product Engineering, and SMEs.
• Build and iterate LLM‑based or agentic AI applications with reliability and quality.
• Evaluate and integrate with applications in Java or Typescript when needed.
• Lead the technical approach from design through implementation.
• Test, validate, and improve solutions with unit tests and automation.
• Progress projects from concept to prototype and plan for production.
• Work in an agile, fast‑paced environment and drive continuous improvement.
