Nalanda is hiring a senior ML/AI engineer to own AI initiatives end-to-end, from opportunity spotting to production-ready models. You’ll set technical direction, partner with Product and Engineering, and decide when a feature is ready to ship or needs more work.

We expect 5+ years of hands-on ML/AI experience, strong Python, and production LLM expertise. You’ll impact product decisions and mentor teammates in a dynamic, inclusive workplace.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands‑on ML/AI engineering with models you’ve taken to production at meaningful scale.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals — testing, CI/CD, code review.
• Production experience with LLMs: prompting, RAG, evaluation, cost/latency tradeoffs.
• English at B2 or above.
• Owned a model's full lifecycle: training, deployment, monitoring, fixes.
• Influenced product decisions with AI insight, collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentored others who became independently effective.

Responsabilidades

• Shape what we build by identifying and prioritizing high‑value AI opportunities with Product and stakeholders.
• Define success metrics and constraints before building, choosing the simplest approach that meets them.
• Bring informed opinions to the table and propose ideas, not just execution.
• Design and train ML/LLM models and take them into production — APIs, pipelines, monitoring.
• Set up monitoring and drift detection to keep the system trustworthy.
• Iterate based on real usage and metrics with Data and Engineering teams.
• Raise the bar for the team and share learnings through demos, docs, and talks.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and review others' work constructively.
• Collaborate across Product, Design, Data, and Engineering.
