Job summary
PLD Space in Elche, Spain, seeks a LabVIEW automation engineer to design and maintain robust ground software for MIURA ground systems. You will work with systems engineers, propulsion and avionics teams to deliver reliable software for testing and control of our rockets.
The role requires a Bachelor's in automation/electronics/telecommunications and 3+ years of experience with NI LabVIEW, real-time architectures, and cRIO platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in automation/electronics/telecommunication engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Deep knowledge of NI LabVIEW programming and real-time architectures.
- Experience programming FPGAs on LabVIEW and deterministic real-time on cRIO.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols and PLCs (Beckhoff or similar).
- Experience with software testing, static analysis, CI tools, and documentation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and collaborate with multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design ground software systems.
- Test and validate ground software for reliability and mission requirements.
- Troubleshoot and fix software issues with the development team.
- Integrate ground software with other aerospace system components.
- Stay updated on software tech and industry standards; document designs and procedures.
- Adhere to development methodologies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
