Job summary

PLD Space in Elche, Spain, is seeking a Flight Instrumentation Engineer to join the Avionics Team. You will support flight sensors, actuators, control systems and their life cycle, ensuring interfaces across subsystems and assisting manufacturing and launch operations.

We value hands-on experience with sensor systems, electromechanical design, and programming in Python, C++, and MATLAB. You will collaborate with suppliers, contribute to design documentation, and help deliver reliable

Qualifications

• Mechatronics or electronics degree or equivalent.
• Experience with electromechanical systems and sensor calibration.
• Programming in Python, C++, MATLAB.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Team player with flexibility to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse high-level requirements for flight sensors and actuators.
• Define technical specifications and interfaces across subsystems.
• Lead supplier interactions for instrumentation components.
• Perform modelling and simulations of electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Support assembly, testing campaigns, data evaluation and validation.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and manuals.
