Formación

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled laboratory technician to join the Noncoding RNA and Cancer Genome Lab (link) at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain).

This position, funded by the European Research Council (ERC), focuses on developing RNA-based therapies for cancer, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to translational research and receive training in knowledge transfer and innovation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our RNA therapeutics pipeline, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct in vivo preclinical studies, including generating and monitoring tumor xenografts and administering RNA-based treatments. Experience with colon orthotopic models is a strong advantage.
  • Perform molecular and cellular assays to characterize and validate novel RNA therapeutic targets.
  • Contribute to protocol optimization and development of new experimental approaches.
  • Support lab and project organization, including biobank maintenance, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
Profile
  • Science degree, technical diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with mouse models (FELASA certification required).
  • Strong hands-on skills in molecular biology; experience with RNA techniques is highly valued.
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication skills in English and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
