Grifols in Derio (Bilbao) is seeking an experienced Laboratory Team Leader to drive immunoassay development and system integration projects within a multinational health care environment.

You will lead Lab Associates, ensure GMP/GLP compliance, supervise IQ/OQ/PQ, travel to partner sites when needed, and collaborate with R&D teams to advance product life cycle documentation. Fluency in English and proactive, detail-oriented mindset required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Knowledge or experience in immunoassays and/or IVD devices desirable.
• Proficient in Office package; basic statistics knowledge.
• Excellent English communication skills (CAE preferred).
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Willingness to travel and spend extended periods at partner sites.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to and manage system integration experiential work across full life cycle.
• Design, test, and optimize immunoassay integration into automated systems.
• Validate and interpret experimental results.
• Support immunoassay technology research within automated systems.
• Assist field service engineers from an immunoassay development and system integration perspective.
• Collaborate with R&D teams on immunoassay projects.
• Prepare reports and present results internally and with external partners.
• Travel frequently to internal or external partners to execute or supervise work.
• Inform and report partner progress.
• Coordinate with supervisors and stakeholders from R&D and other areas.
• Prepare documents and SOPs for integration, transfer, usability etc. regarding system integration.
• Supervise instrument maintenance, IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Participate in laboratory maintenance tasks.
• Statistical analysis of results.
• Verification and validation of experimental results.
• Direct and mentor junior personnel.
• Identify training needs of personnel.
• Ensure compliance with quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
• Identify needs of their area regarding the Quality System and communicate them to the quality manager.
• Ensure full compliance with the quality system within their work area.
• Request the purchase of necessary products for their area.
