Takeda in Madrid is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive strategic engagement with neuropsychiatric specialists across the region, focusing on growth and differentiated patient care.

You will work with KAM peers and Medical/Marketing teams, leveraging CRM, analytics, and AI tools to tailor territory plans, educate clinicians, and optimize patient pathways.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
  • Ability to engage in scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.
  • Experience using CRM systems, digital platforms, and data analytics.

About the Role

The Key Account Manager (KAM) role for NS in Catalonia and Baleares is strategic for the national success of the unit and Takeda, as this region represents a significant contribution in both volume and value. Catalonia is a key area for consolidating the growth of Elvanse and ensuring effective coverage in the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders.

The KAM will work closely with the other two KAMs in the unit, fostering a strong team dynamic aligned with shared objectives. Additionally, active cross-functional collaboration with the Medical and Marketing departments is required to ensure an integrated and patient-centered execution. The KAM's activities will include visits to adult psychiatrists, child psychiatrists, and pediatric neurologists, with the goal of enhancing awareness, accurate patient identification, and appropriate treatment management. The ability to build trust, educate, and support healthcare professionals will be key to success in such a competitive and relevant region as Catalonia. Additionally, the continuous growth of the private psychiatry market in Catalonia represents a strategic opportunity by engaging with specialists in the private sector.

In addition, the role will leverage advanced technologies, innovative tools, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance strategic decision-making and customer engagement. The use of digital platforms and data-driven insights will support the identification of opportunities, optimize territory management, and personalize interactions with healthcare professionals. Embracing these technological advancements will be essential to drive efficiency and deliver impactful results in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Planning & Execution: Implement account plans aligned with BU and managerial direction. Use data and CRM insights to identify opportunities, define SMART objectives, and monitor progress.
  • Customer Engagement: Build trusted partnerships with HCPs and decision-makers. Deliver high-quality scientific discussions that create value and reinforce Takeda’s leadership in NS
  • Omnichannel Excellence: Combine in-person and digital engagement for consistent and compliant customer experiences. Use AI-enabled tools to personalize content and schedule interactions efficiently.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize AI-supported analytics to understand territory performance, patient journey dynamics, and referral patterns. Anticipate risks and opportunities to optimize resources.
  • Operational Efficiency: Automate routine reporting and planning tasks, dedicating more time to strategic follow-up, diagnosis pathway optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the KAM Manager, Medical, Market Access, and Marketing teams to align tactics and ensure coordinated execution across the territory.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on therapeutic advances in RMD-Rare GI, competitor activity, and evolving diagnostic protocols. Share insights to enhance the team’s collective expertise.

What You Bring to Takeda

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2-4 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sales experience
  • Ability to build credibility with healthcare professionals and engage in scientific discussions based on customer needs.
  • Experience using CRM systems, digital engagement platforms, and data analytics tools to support business decisions.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve business objectives in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to embrace innovation, new technologies, and continuous learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in Spanish and English.
