Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a motivated Jr. Sales Engineer to join our team in Cornellà (Barcelona). The role combines engineering knowledge with customer-focused sales, supporting Portugal from the Barcelona office.

You will prepare technical proposals, develop customized solutions, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure feasibility. Fluency in English is required, and Portuguese is a plus as the position supports Iberia in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or related field.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience or internships.
• Fluent English (minimum First Certificate level or equivalent).
• Experience with CRM tools or willingness to learn.
• Proactive mindset and strong team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and delivery of technical presentations and product information.
• Assist in developing customized technical solutions based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility of proposals.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and supporting technical documentation.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support throughout the sales process.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities.
• Maintain records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM tools.
• Work with the sales team supporting customers in Portugal from the Barcelona office.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
