Job summary

IDOM in Barcelona and Madrid seeks a Junior Ports & Maritime Transport Consultant to join our offices in Barcelona or Madrid. You will participate in technical-economic and strategic projects for port authorities, terminal operators, shipping companies, private investors, multilateral organizations, and financial institutions.

You will work on market studies, business plans, port planning, and feasibility analyses while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Hold a Master's degree in Civil/Industrial Engineering or Economics.
1–3 years of experience in transport consulting or related fields.
Experience in port/maritime sector projects is highly valued.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and complex problems.

Responsibilities

Gather, structure, and analyze information for strategic, commercial, economic, and operational studies.
Develop analyses related to ports, terminals, infrastructure, and maritime transport.
Interpret technical documentation and bridge engineering and business perspectives.
Take increasing responsibility for parts of studies and deliverables.
Prepare high-quality client deliverables including reports and presentations.
Collaborate with IDOM specialists and participate in client meetings.
