Job Purpose

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of legal activities in accordance with the established standards and provides advice to the company in less complex legal aspects. Prepares and/or reviews contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents to ensure legal compliance.

Your tasks:

• Administer established legal procedures and assist in assigned legal projects
• Advise Business Managers on less complex legal topics eg trade, commercial matters, technology transfer, labor and corporate issues
• Research, analyze and interpret case law, court reports and proposed/ existing laws and regulations to prepare technical reports on their impact on organization’s operations
• Liaise with external functional or operational area specialists, as required
• Prepare/ review materials for compliance
• Conduct work associated with Legal Counsel, Patent/Intellectual Property Law, Legal Research & Document Drafting, Contract Negotiation & Administration and Legal Records Management
• Conversant with and understanding of legal technology and its potential use in delivering legal services

Your profile:

• Less than 2 years of experience in a commercial legal role, ideally within an in-house corporate environment
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; a confident team player who can influence and engage across functions
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent legal qualification
