Novanta Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineer for the R&A group to develop robust electronics for motion control products, with emphasis on stepper motors, reliability, and manufacturability.

You will design schematics, layouts, and perform detailed circuit analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet stringent performance targets. You will contribute to design-for-manufacturing and verification, support production readiness, and help improve documentation and test plans across

Formación

• Ms or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or technical related discipline.
• Minimum working experience 1 year.
• Experience with Electronic circuit technology design and assembly processes.
• Background in electrical power applications.
• Experience with PCB / PCA manufacturing processes.
• Experience in electronics verificaton and validation.
• Ability to write technical documents such as assembly instructions, test procedures, and test and analysis reports.
• Altium Designer proven experience.
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain the hardware running the R&A products, with special focus on stepper motors.
• Design new and redesign existing electronic circuits, including schematic and layout.
• Conduct detailed circuit analysis and optimize designs through effective component selection and performance evaluation, including circuit simulation.
• Hands-on new hardware board bring-up, system debugging, and optimization.
• Review and improve external documentation (Product manuals, Datasheets, etc.).
• Improve internal documentation (Architecture, Detailed Design, etc.).
• Define, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team, the Test and Verification Plans.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to align technical requirements and solutions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to support product development and integration.
