Job summary

Sonae Sierra in Madrid is seeking a motivated Junior ESG Analyst to join the sustainability team. You will support ESG data collection, analysis and reporting, contributing to CSRD and ESRS compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in ESG or related roles, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, English fluency, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. This role offers professional development in a multinational setting, exposure to regulatory standards, and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Sustainability or related field.
1–2 years in ESG, sustainability, corporate reporting or related analytical role.
Understanding of ESG principles and evolving European regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with data translation ability.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus depending on stakeholder requirements.
Exposure to CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy or GRI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

ESG Reporting & Data Analysis: collect, consolidate and analyse ESG data.
Support sustainability reporting and internal documentation.
Regulatory Monitoring: CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy developments.
ESG Performance Monitoring: track KPIs and progress towards targets.
Stakeholder Collaboration: collect information across departments and validate data.
ESG Assessments: support materiality analyses and benchmarking.
Continuous Improvement: improve internal processes and reporting tools.
Research & Best Practices: study trends and industry standards.
