Zusammenfassung

Making Science seeks a motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join its Information Security team in Spain. You will support day-to-day security monitoring, incident response, and drive a strong security culture across the company.

The role involves training delivery, phishing simulations, and policy alignment with ISO/NIST/NIS2 and GDPR. You will work with the CISO, SOC, and IT teams to improve security controls, audits, and risk assessments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role.
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts and operating systems.
• Basic understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls).
• Familiarity with phishing, malware, ransomware, and social engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and deliver security awareness training across the company.
• Plan and execute simulated phishing campaigns; report results to management.
• Support SOC in detection, triage, investigation, and incident resolution using SIEM/EDR.
• Document incident timelines and post-incident analyses for SOC playbooks.
• Draft and implement security policies aligned with ISO/NIST/NIS2 and GDPR requirements.
• Assist internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Evaluate AI tools for security risk, data exposure, and access control.
• Monitor threat intel and vulnerability scans; translate into actionable steps.
• Document security configurations and hardening measures across systems.
• Enforce least privilege and manage security exceptions with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with IT/DevOps to integrate security into operations.
