SoftwareOne is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to strengthen our Google Cloud Platform team in the infrastructure department. You will collaborate with the infrastructure team on migrating workloads to GCP, gain hands-on experience with IaC and CI/CD, and contribute to observability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud workloads.

Ideal candidates bring experience with cloud design and deployment, are eager to learn, and want to grow within a global IT provider that values

Formación

• Experience in designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, environments and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with IaC, cloud observability and disaster recovery.
• Google Cloud Platform certifications or hands-on GCP experience valued.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with infrastructure team to migrate workloads to Google Cloud Platform.
• Engage in all stages of migration projects from requirements to maintenance.
• Use IaC and CI/CD tools to deploy and manage cloud resources on GCP.
• Establish observability with logging, monitoring, and tracing for GCP workloads.
• Develop backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems in GCP.
• Pursue training and certifications across GCP services and multi-cloud topics.

We are looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer to strengthen our Google Cloud Platform team in the infrastructure department. The right candidate for this role will have passion for their work, finds it easy to learn and brings experience working with infrastructure in Cloud and/or on premise environments. Preferably you are used to working in diverse environments with multiple customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the infrastructure team on migrating workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) from on-premise or other cloud environments.
• Engage in all stages of migration projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, delivery, and ongoing maintenance.
• Implement new projects and solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (DevOps). These projects will encompass resource governance, networking, security, scaling, load balancing, storage, backup, and virtual machines, all optimized for GCP.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive observability solutions, integrating logging, monitoring, and tracing to ensure the health and performance of GCP workloads.
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data within GCP, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
• Continuously pursue training and certifications in GCP's diverse service offerings and components, such as architecture, data and storage management, networking, and multi-cloud solutions.

Highly Valued:

• Google Cloud Platform certifications and working experience with GCP/AWS/Azure
