Hack in Hire is seeking a Google Cloud Security Engineer to join the client’s Global CISO Team in Spain. The role focuses on securing GCP infrastructure, enforcing secure configurations, and implementing vulnerability management within a cloud-native environment.

You will work with GKE, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD Pipelines to ensure robust security controls. The ideal candidate has strong Python and scripting skills, experience with data analytics tooling, and a proactive, problem-solving

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Google Cloud Security Engineer to join our clients Global CISO Team at their central offices in Spain.

This department is responsible for IT security within our clients group and provides services for many organizational units all over the world. The client offers a collaborative work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies.

Your key responsibilities

Join our dynamic team and become an integral part of the mission to ensure the security and resilience of client cloud infrastructure. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the security and resilience of GCP infrastructure.

What are we looking for?

• Demonstrated knowledge of security features in GCP Public Cloud platform.
• Experience in implementing Vulnerability Management process and controls.
• Experience in validating and enforcing secure configurations of cloud native solutions.
• Experience with containerized environments (e.g. GKE, K8S, Docker).
• Experience in using version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines in GCP DevOps.
• Programming skills in Python.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in GCP (e.g. Terraform).
• Communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas, facts, and opinions clearly.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify issues, analyze key information, make connections, and find appropriate solutions.
• A results-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiently and effectively completing tasks to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Knowledge of security features in OCI Public Cloud platform and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Experience with ETL, data analytics and reporting solutions (e.g. Apache NiFi, Kafka).
• Knowledge of network implementations.
• Familiarity with GoogleSQL (BigQuery) or Cloud Logging queries.
• Documentation as Code (Sphinx, reStructuredText).
• Strong interest in learning new and emerging technologies.
• Extra points for cloud and security certificates.
